Wine Description
Rosso rubino vivace. Bouquet decisamente fruttato: mirtilli rossi, lamponi, ciliegia e ribes accompagnati da sentori di mentolo e di liquirizia. Al palato pieno e avvolgente, i tannini vellutati e l’acidità spiccata giocano armoniosamente.
Vino ideale nell’ abbinamento con cacciagione da pelo (lepre, cervo, daino etc.) e formaggi piccanti, o con pietanze di pasta al ragù di carne.

Curiosity
In 1973 a romantic fresco cycle from the 13th century was uncovered in the castle of Rodengo, near Brixen. These frescos tell the first part of the French-Celtic saga of Hartmann von Aue about the knight "Iwein" or "Ywain". It is the eponym for our Merlot, also for its obvious similarity to the name wine.
